Workout Wednesday!

This week is going amazingly well as far as fitness and nutrition go. I'm eating clean, within my calories and have been killing it on my workouts from Erica. Monday was lower body, followed by a full body workout last night and my hamstrings are so sore I can barely walk this morning. Maybe I'm weird, but I absolutely love that feeling! The aches are a constant reminder through the day that I'm getting stronger and that what I'm doing is working.

As always, tonight is cardio and I have my Running for Maggie virtual 5k scheduled for tonight. If you guys haven't heard about this amazing fundraiser Sami is doing, I highly recommend checking it out and joining in. You have all week to get your run in. I may be running in a thunderstorm this evening, but rain or shine, sore hamstrings or not, it is happening! 

On to Workout Wednesday. I have a quick cardio workout for you guys. I've tried many different "styles" of cardio sets, and I find this 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 method to be the most challenging for me. It's short, but effective. I am dripping sweat by the end of this! If you're new to this, you do each exercise in the circuit 10 times, then 9, then 8 etc... pretty simple. I'm very competitive with myself, so I enjoy workouts "for time" that allow me to try and beat my previous time. Don't stop until you've finished the entire set!

  1. Sounds like a great workout! I just recently was introduced to the pyramid way of doing things and I love it too! Can you explain a rock star jump? Otherwise, I get the rest! Thanks!
